Proudly providing birth, postpartum & lactation support to those in the Central Valley, Tri-Valley, Bay area and Sacramento area.
Pregnant? Newly postpartum? Interested in learning more about childbirth or lactation?
Looking for overnight support so you and your partner can catch up on sleep?
I can help with that!
The experience of pregnancy, birth & postpartum has evolved over the years, especially in today’s modern era. I believe that the need for caring, sensitive and knowledgeable support during this time is becoming more and more apparent. I believe that everyone deserves doula support and there is a doula for every body. I feel honored to be able to contribute my expertise to those in the Central Valley, Tri-Valley, and the Bay Area.
We moved from the Bay Area to Tracy at 9 months and I decided to hire a doula because I heard it was beneficial. I can across Kim after some research and really liked how responsive she was and knowledgeable upon meeting with her. She also brought a back up doula to the meet as a just in case which I thought was great because I like to have a plan B myself.
After hiring her, I could reach out to her without feeling guilty and ask her my questions. She was able to provide a lot of information on preparing for pregnancy (even in the last month), helped me with my birth plan, and explain everything in detail on things I didn't understand.
At the hospital, I had a long labor. Although I didn't follow my birth plan completely, Kim and her assistant weren't judgmental about it and supported everything I decided on or needed. Kim was there thru the entire time advocating. Her back up DeAnna took over some hours and she was also a blessing as well.
Postpartum - had my baby August 29 2019 and we are still in contact. I am having a little bit of breastfeeding issues and she has also been helpful in giving information as well as a referral to see a LC for possible issues related to breastfeeding.
As you can see, there are a lot of pros to hiring Kim and I'm glad to have hired her, especially in the most sensitive time of a woman's life and as a first time parent.
