Birth & Postpartum Doula Services and Support

Congratulations on the new addition to your family!

First and foremost, I am a mom to two amazing kiddos. I realized my calling was to help families in their pregnancy, labor & postpartum journeys after hiring my own doula for the birth of my son. I am a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, a trained Newborn Care Specialist and a Certified Lactation Educator Counselor. I have over 15 years of experience caring for infants and children. I have firsthand experience with Cesarean births and recovery, VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) birth and recovery as well as exclusively pumping, supplementing, bottle-feeding and the trials and tribulations of breastfeeding. My passion is to help as many families as I can easily and successfully navigate through pregnancy, labor and the fourth trimester.

Every birth is special. Whether it takes place at the hospital or at home, each is beautiful and deserving of celebration. No matter how you birth your baby, everyone can benefit from having an experienced doula present at the moment of delivery. Contact me to learn more about my services, and how I can help you bring your own child into the world and help you transition into the role of parenthood.

Let's Meet!

The experience of pregnancy, birth & postpartum has evolved over the years, especially in today’s modern era. I believe that the need for caring, sensitive and knowledgeable support during this time is becoming more and more apparent. I believe that everyone deserves doula support and there is a doula for every body. I see every pregnancy and birth as a miracle and as a certified doula, I feel honored to be able to contribute my expertise to those in the Central Valley, Tri-Valley, East Bay Area and parts of Sacramento County.

We moved from the Bay Area to Tracy at 9 months and I decided to hire a doula because I heard it was beneficial. I can across Kim after some research and really liked how responsive she was and knowledgeable upon meeting with her. She also brought a back up doula to the meet as a just in case which I thought was great because I like to have a plan B myself.
After hiring her, I could reach out to her without feeling guilty and ask her my questions. She was able to provide a lot of information on preparing for pregnancy (even in the last month), helped me with my birth plan, and explain everything in detail on things I didn't understand.
At the hospital, I had a long labor. Although I didn't follow my birth plan completely, Kim and her assistant weren't judgmental about it and supported everything I decided on or needed. Kim was there thru the entire time advocating. Her back up DeAnna took over some hours and she was also a blessing as well.
Postpartum - had my baby August 29 2019 and we are still in contact. I am having a little bit of breastfeeding issues and she has also been helpful in giving information as well as a referral to see a LC for possible issues related to breastfeeding.
As you can see, there are a lot of pros to hiring Kim and I'm glad to have hired her, especially in the most sensitive time of a woman's life and as a first time parent.
